Conference  Overview

Under the Patronage of HE Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research and Supreme Chancellor of the University the organizers take pleasure in announcing “The 2nd Scientific Conference for Medical Students in the GCC Countries” which will take place in the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University in the beautiful garden city of Al Ain between January 25-28, 2004.

The themes of the conference are: Modern Surgical Skills; Future of Gene Therapy; Information Technology and the Practice of Medicine; Ethics of the Medical Profession and Scientific Research; Professional Future of Medical Students.

Daily events will include keynote addresses by internationally renowned clinicians, scientists and educationalists from all over the world; thematic oral and poster presentations; workshops, symposia, medical exhibitions and a variety of exciting social and cultural events.

The organizers will endeavor to provide an environment appropriate and sensitive to the cultural and traditional needs of students and other delegates.
